Jewish Studies Informal Educator

Required:                   June or September

Salary Range:            £18,795 - £19,171 pro rata

Hours:                        9 hours a week, Monday – Wednesday, term time only, to include planning time

 

Do you want to inspire a love of Jewish learning in young people?  We are looking for a fun, inspirational and energetic individual to come and work in our Clore Shalom community. 

 

Clore Shalom School is a successful, popular and forward-looking primary school. We are a voluntary aided Jewish primary school with high expectations for our pupils and staff. We offer an excellent education in a secure, exciting and happy learning environment. The school is a lively caring community, supported by an energetic and committed staff, parents and governors.  We strive to inspire and enthuse pupils with the highest standard of education.  We teach the full National Curriculum combined with Jewish Studies, based on our Jewish ethos and values.  We received a Good rating at our Ofsted Inspection in January 2020.  They cited “Leaders have fostered a strong sense of community that makes the school both welcoming and caring.  Pupils love their school.”

The successful candidates will be passionate about improving outcomes for pupils, excited about collaborative working and keen to join a school that strives for academic excellence.

 

You will have:

  • A passion for Jewish Education
  • An ability to communicate effectively - both orally and in writing
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team but also to show initiative
  • An enthusiastic, creative approach to Jewish learning and a deep understanding of the inclusive ethos of the school and the ideologies of the sponsoring religious movements of the school (Reform, Masorti and Liberal).
  • Commitment to delivering the best possible learning opportunities in order to get the best outcomes
