Some children are ready to move onto ditty sheets, these will come home in their bags on a THURSDAY. Please practise these at home. If they have not got one of these they will get a blending book to keep practising the skill of segmenting and blending.

We are in need of large brooms and mops, jerry cans and old flowers. If you have any you wish to donate we would be very grateful.

If you have any questions, please get in touch. Thank you for your support as always!

This created a week of curiosity and investigation!!!

This week we learnt how to say 'sorry' for Yom Kippur

Week 4- Our Bodies and Our Teeth

What a wonderful week we have had where we have continued to learn about 'Ourselves.' Oral health is a huge part of the new curriculum and we have been learning how to brush our teeth properly! This was a lot of fun. We have also started an experiment over time. We have placed an old real tooth in coca cola - we will see what has happened to the tooth over time.

We are still embedding all our routines. This week we have focussed on the welly boot station. The children now know if they go into the digging area or mud kitchen they need to change into their boots (even if they do go on the wrong feet!!)

Phonics is moving at a fast pace- please practise your sounds and send us some videos on tapestry.

Next week we are learning about Yom Kippur and Dinosaurs! If you have any more conkers then send them our way.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Reception Team

Week 4 Fun

In JS Reception learnt about the festival of Rosh Hashanah. We dipped apple in honey and enjoyed tasting it and made Rosh Hashanah cards by cutting and gluing Rosh Hashanah pictures. We can now all say “Shana Tova” to our friends.

Rosh Hashanah learning

                                                                Reception Week 2

We are so proud of the children, they have settled so well and are loving 'Clore' life. Next week we are learning about 'worries.' We will be using the texts 'Silly Billy' by Anthony Browne and 'The Worry Monster' by Anna Llenas. In addition to this we will start learning about Rosh Hashanah and we have lots of creative activities so that the children can deepen their learning.

Thank you for your support this week - keep us updated on tapestry with all your home outings and activities.
